We are excited about the work of Nima, Eddy, Bryan and Hansheng, which was recently accepted for publication in the Journal of Material Science (https://doi.org/10.1007/s10853-020-04915-w). In the paper titled ‘Multimodal γ′ precipitation in Inconel-738 Ni-based superalloy during electron-beam powder bed fusion additive manufacturing’, the author’s are investigating in-situ precipitation of γ′ particles and carbides during electronbeam powder bed-fusion of Inconel-738 using optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and atom probe tomography.
