Sophie and Nima, from UNSW, attended the 10th Pacific Rim International Conference on Advance Materials and Processing (PRICM-10) in August 2019 in Xi’an, China, as invited speakers. Sophie gave a presentation on Superalloys and advanced steels and Nima presented work on electron beam melted Ti64 and high entropy alloys.
All presentations were very well received. The conference provided a great opportunity for networking and meeting up with colleagues from around the world. Prior to this conference, Nima visited Prof. Ernst Kozeschnik’s lab at TU-Vienna in Austria, to simulate the microstructural evolution of INC738 alloy during electron beam melting process.
